A one of a kind perfomance

WIRED Magazine celebrated its 25th anniversary in San Francisco with four days of events honouring ideas, innovation, and icons.

Together with Intel and 2LK, we kicked off their grand opening by developing a one-off, bespoke experience that was powered by the performer. Our WonderDJ tracked the music and movements of the electronic artists Cash Cash to open WIRED25 in style.

Technical Details

  • Real-time per-pixel shadowing and lighting with ambient occlusion, reflections, fogging and depth-of-field effects
  • Up to 111,720 visible pins
  • Over 2000 lines of uncompiled shader code per ray-traced pixel
  • Targeting 60 frames per second
  • Featuring real-time reactive fluid simulation and composition of video, text and images into pins
  • Combining input from Audio and multiple Intel RealSense D435 cameras
  • Real-time spectral audio analysis
  • Running from a single Nvidia GTX 1070 powered laptop
  • Written using our custom low-level C++ interactive software engine
